Variation of the Serendipity: Zebra Serendipity

Last week I tied up a Serendipity. You can make a slight alteration to it and get a lot of flash in it. I call it the Zebra Serendipity. It is a mix of a Zebra Midge and a Serendipity. When it comes to fly tying, it is quick and easy, and when it comes to fly fishing, its a great addition to the fly box. I like to carry a few of both, Serendipity and Zebra Serendipity. It is a great dropper fly to a bigger nymph.

Recipe:
  • Hook: Size 14, Scud Hook
  • Thread/Body: 6/0 Uni Thread Black
  • Wing: Deer or Elk Hair
  • Ribbing: Copper Ultra-Wire, Medium

Enjoy
