Skishing?

I recently started reading the book called "On the Run" by David DiBendetto. David, a new college grad at the time, was some what of an addict to striper fishing. The addiction was making him skip his friend's night time adventures that would bring them back at 4am and instead taking him to the closest striper fishery.

It dawned on him that he needed to embark on a journey that would follow the fall striper run down the coast starting in Bath, Maine.

In the first chapter of this book, David was in New York with fisherman Paul Melynk and they were going "skishing." If you haven't read the book, you might ask what is "skishing"? Well, its quite simple actually, it is a cross between skiing and fishing because big fish can tow you like a water skier. Now, the question is if you would do it? I would have to say no thanks.

This is a pretty extreme way to fish, so I had to see if I could see some footage. What did I find, Paul Melynk himself...skishing. Check it out, but this is awesome.
