Fishing the Northeast this weekend?

The weekend is coming quick and I am starting to think about where I am going to fish...

If you are in New York, you might want to check out the Beaverkill, Delaware, and Lower West Branch. I spoke with Wayne Aldridge of River of Life Outdoor Adventures in Deposit, NY and he said the fishing has been good! On the no-kill stretches of Beaverkill, Delaware, and Lower West Branch there have been small dry fly hatches with early stoneflies. With the warmer weather coming, the hatches should start to be more consistent. April 1st marks the opening for the Delaware River system so please make sure you check the regulations! The fish have been hitting streamers (Empies, Zonker, and Mickey Finn) and buggers, but be sure to switch up your colors.

If you are in or headed to New York, be sure to give Wayne a ring and check out his website.

I am headed to New Hampshire this weekend to fish for some Land Lock Salmon and some slob rainbows.

Where are you headed?
