Fly of the Week 3/25/2013: Black Stonefly Nymph

This week I bring you the Black Stone Fly Nymph. A great fly year round for any trout or salmon. Tie it a little larger at an #8 or all the way down to a #14. You won't go wrong having this in your fly box. It is also great in brown/tan, olive, or change the color of the thorax by using estaz. This fly won't fail.

Recipe:

• Hook: Size 8, 3xl Nymph Hook
• Thread: 6/0 Uni Thread Black
• Body: Black Hare's Ear Ice Dubbing
• Ribbing: Large Black Ultra Wire
• Back: Black Thin Skin
• Tail/Antenna: Black Goose Biots
